Are you a Purple Heart Recipient or a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom? You may be eligible to have your first year's membership dues paid for by the VFW Department of California. Be part of the oldest combat veteran organization in the nation.
The VFW is teaming up with Dream Flights to honor America's World War II veterans. The hope is to provide over 1,000 WWII veterans with a 20-minute flight in a Boeing Stearman biplane. The event will take place from August 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021 (61 days) and will touch over 300 cities.
Our success as an organization depends on members like you. From members to appointed or elected officers, we each have an important role to play. Whether you've just been elected or want to brush up on protocol, here's where you can access resources designed with your role as a VFW leader in mind.
Coming home doesn't mean the battle is over. With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, we have people that have shared a similar experience and are ready to help.
Designed to help grow you membership, this FREE Website that is Synced with National, for your Post / District* / Department, is chock full of tools that are easy to use.
...we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.
WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War, Kosovo, War in Afghanistan, War in Iraq, War on Global Terror and other Peace-Keeping Expeditionary Campaigns throughout the globe.
The willingness of America's veterans to sacrifice for our country has earned them our lasting gratitude.
In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.
Ask not what your country can do for you, ask you can do for your country.
