Armando Zepeda
District 11 Commander - Air Force

Armando Zepeda enlisted in the Air Force on August 31 st , 1966 until Honorably Discharged on August 28th , 1970. After my enlistment, I was sent to Lackland AFB in San Antonio Texas for basic training. After basic training, I was stationed in Alamogordo New Mexico and was later transferred to Perrin AFB in Texas for Training. I was trained as a Metal Specialist checking for Defects in jet engines and landing gears. 

I was transferred to Hamilton AFB in Northern California for additional training for six weeks before I was shipped overseas to Nakhon Phenom Royal Thai AFB in the republic of Thailand on July 4 th 1968, returning to the United States on July 4 th 1969 and stationed at Mather AFB in Sacramento until my discharged on August 28th 1970.

After my discharged, I attended College in the evening while also working in the communications industry for over 35 years before my retirement in 2001. I worked for Pacific Telephone, AT&T, Lucent Technologies and finally Avaya Comminutions. My hobbies include golfing twice a week with a group of 12 other golfers and enjoying my 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
