Regina A. Troglin was born in Crailsheim, Germany, while her father was stationed there with the U.S. Army. During her senior year of high school, she enlisted through the Army's Delayed Entry Program before reporting for active duty upon graduation in 2006. She served as a 12T, Technical Engineering Specialist, and deployed to Iraq from 2008 to 2009 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

 

A lifelong advocate for education and service, she has pursued her academic goals alongside her commitment to veterans and her community. She earned an Associate of Science in Architectural Drafting and Design from Glendale Community College in 2022, followed by a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, with concentrations in Architecture, Political Science, and Education, in 2024. In 2026, she earned a Master of Architecture, further strengthening her passion for leadership, community development, and service.

 

She became a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in 2023. In 2024, she was elected Captain (Commander) of VFW Ship 4084 in Ridgecrest, California, a position she continues to hold. Under her leadership, Ship 4084 earned both All-State and All-American recognition for the 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 program years, reflecting the dedication of its members and their unwavering commitment to serving veterans, their families, and the local community. In 2025, she was elected Junior Vice Commander for VFW Department of California District 5. She currently serves as District 5 Commander for the 2026–2027 term, where she remains dedicated to strengthening VFW programs, fostering collaboration among Posts, mentoring future leaders, and advancing the VFW's mission of service, advocacy, and community engagement.

 

Beyond her professional and volunteer commitments, she is the proud mother of two remarkable children. Her daughter is an active member of the Sidewinders Division of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, an organization she proudly supports. Go Sidewinders! She is also an active participant and actress with the Community Light Opera and Theatre Association (CLOTA) in Ridgecrest, where she enjoys contributing to the performing arts and supporting local theater.

 

She believes that effective leadership is grounded in service, integrity, humility, and a steadfast commitment to leaving every organization stronger than she found it. Whether serving veterans, mentoring youth, supporting the arts, or giving back to her community, she strives to lead by example and inspire others through a life of service.
