A United States Marine Corps veteran and City of Poway community leader, John Carson has dedicated his life to service. After joining the Marines in 2001 and deploying multiple times to Iraq, John transitioned to civilian life by earning his BS and MBA from National University.

 

Today, he channels that same leadership into the Veterans of Foreign Wars. As District Commander, he draws on extensive experience across the organization, having held pivotal roles ranging from Post Adjutant to District Jr. Vice Commander.

 

Outside of his veteran advocacy, John’s greatest pride is his family; he and his wife Amanda have been married for 20 years and are raising their 16-year-old son, Jack.
