I was born in July of 1960 in Chehalis, Washington, the 3rd son and 4th child in the family. My parents owned "The Office Tavern" in Chehalis and our home was in Centralia. I met my older sister for the first time when I was 57 years old.

 

As a kid, I knew two things for sure, I would someday marry that little girl up the street, and earn my own military uniform. I earned that uniform, and in 1982, the little girl up the street said, "You are not going to the Philippines without me." We were married 9 April 1983. The rest just happened.
