Kenneth Williams
District 15 Commander - Air Force
I am from North Carolina, graduated from Richlands High School in June 1995 and joined the Air Force in June 1995 and was in basic training in August 1995. Served on Active Duty as an F-15 Crew Chief, working on C, D and E models. Left Active Duty in 2005, and came back in 2012 having earned my Degree of B.S. Environmental Science with an Anthropology Minor from the University of Mount Olive, Mount Olive NC. Returned to service in the Air Force Reserves on F-15’s until cross training to the KC-135 in 2014 and which I continue to work on to this day at Beale AFB, CA.
I have held numerous roles within maintenance and currently serve as a Quality Assurance Inspector on the KC-135. I earned my membership during deployments to Incirlik Air Base Turkey while on the F-15 in 1997 during Operation Northern Watch (F-15), Operation Noble Eagle in 2001 (F-15) and Operations Enduring Freedom/Inherent Resolve on the KC-135 in 2015 (Al-Udeid, Qatar) and 2019 (Incirlik AB, Turkey).
Military Awards and Decorations include Air and Space Commendation Medal, Air and Space Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Award (OEF/OIF 2019), GWOT Expeditionary Medal, GWOT Service Medal, Nuclear Deterrence Operations Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Air and Space Expeditionary Service Ribbon with Gold Border, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with "M” Device.
I joined the VFW in 2022 at the Roy Bourg Olivehurst Post 4095. I have served as Jr, Sr and Post Commander as well as District Trustee and District Commander.
