Description
A comrade attended the 80th Anniversary Day of Affirmation Ceremony and Post Ceremony Wreath Presentation at the Veterans Memorial Courtyard Japanese American Cultural & Community Center Los Angeles California. On 15 July 1946 President Harry S. Truman presented the 100th Infantry Battalion and the 442nd Regimental Combat Team their SEVENTH Presidential Unit Citation in recognition of their extraordinary combat performance throughout the European Theater. 21 Medals of Honor. 4000 plus Purple Heart Medals. 12000 plus individual awards Medals and Citations. Very moving moment. Hosted by the Japanese American Veterans Association and Japanese American Cultural & Community Center.
