| Description |
| In response to the Garden Grove GKN disaster I worked to identify and address potential unmet needs within the affected community. As part of these efforts I made numerous calls to the American Red Cross to gather information on available resources and determine how Post 9148 could assist individuals and families impacted by the emergency.
I also spoke with District Commander Tim Ibarra regarding the possibility of opening Post 9148 as an evacuation and support center. The goal was to ensure that if additional shelter or community assistance was needed our Post would be prepared to help fill those gaps and provide support to displaced residents.
By coordinating with relief organizations and district leadership Post 9148 demonstrated its commitment to identifying unmet needs and seeking solutions during a community crisis. Although the Post was not activated as an evacuation center these efforts helped ensure that resources and support options were explored for those affected by the disaster.
This activity reflects Post 9148's ongoing dedication to community service emergency preparedness and assisting individuals and families when unmet needs arise. |
