| Description |
| During the Garden Grove GKN disaster I took proactive steps to support emergency response efforts by making numerous calls to the American Red Cross regarding the possibility of utilizing Post 9148 as an evacuation center for displaced residents. I also spoke with District Commander Tim Ibarra to discuss the Post's availability and readiness to assist the community during this emergency. Together we explored the requirements and procedures necessary to open our facility as a temporary evacuation and support center. Although the Post was not ultimately activated as an evacuation site these efforts demonstrated Post 9148's commitment to community service and disaster preparedness. By coordinating with relief organizations and district leadership we ensured that our Post stood ready to provide assistance and support to those affected by the disaster if called upon. Post 9148 remains dedicated to serving veterans their families and the community during times of need and emergency. ::: This version emphasizes your initiative coordination with the Red Cross and District Commander Tim Ibarra and the Post's readiness to serve the community. |
