| VFW COMMUNITY SERVICE REPORT – TOYS FOR TOTS
Date: December 14 2025
Location: Vons Parking Lot – Eastern Madera County
Program: Toys for Tots – Annual Marathon Toy Drive
Description of Activity:
VFW Post 8743 conducted its Annual Toys for Tots Marathon Toy Drive in the Vons parking lot in Eastern Madera County. The event was hosted in partnership with the Madera County Sheriff’s Office CAL FIRE and Sierra Ambulance creating a highly visible and successful community outreach effort.
Members of Post 8743 along with District 9 Commander Maryann Enciso remained on site throughout the day collecting toys and monetary donations to support children in our mountain communities.
Through the generosity of the community and the dedication of our volunteers the drive successfully collected over 3000 toys and $4000 in monetary donations all of which will remain in Eastern Madera County to ensure local children have toys for Christmas.
