Description
VFW Post 9148 provided support to a local veteran experiencing financial and medical hardship following a recent surgery. On behalf of the Post a donation of $300 was issued to assist the veteran with immediate needs during their recovery period. In addition to financial support Post representatives assisted the veteran in preparing and organizing the necessary documentation required for submission to the Department of Veterans Affairs. These documents were assembled to request a temporary 100% disability rating during the veteran’s post-surgery recovery phase helping ensure they receive the benefits and support they are entitled to during this period of limited mobility and income. This action reflects VFW Post 9148’s ongoing commitment to serving veterans in our community and ensuring they receive timely assistance advocacy and support in times of need.
