Description
Post 2043 members provided a color guard for a plaque dedication for Santa Paula High School gymnasium. The plaque was dedicated to Darrel ""Mac"" McMahan an Airforce Lt. who was a recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross for heroic efforts on a mission over Belgium during WWII. McMahan later served as a teacher football coach and principal at Santa Paula High School. The gymnasium is named in his honor. McMahan's family including his widow Alice city officials school officials as well as members of the public were in attendance.
