Description
At the request of the Mesquite High School principal which is a continuation school and has many at risk youth the Ship Captain attended a Navy recruiter presentation as a guest speaker to share personal stories and advice about the military. There were 38 high school students many expressed a desire to join the service and also volunteer with the VFW for their graduation requirements. Post presentation the principal thanked both and information was exchanged with the recruiter who qualifies for the VFW.
