Description
I provided comprehensive education and support to the veteran and their family regarding end-of-life planning and burial preparation. This included delivering a Veteran Burial Checklist specifically tailored to ensure their burial at Dixon National Cemetery can be carried out without administrative delays or hardship on the surviving family members. As a result of this support the veteran and their family are now informed prepared and aligned with the VFW VSO for pre-arranged burial planning. This ensures that when the time comes their burial at Dixon National Cemetery will be honored with dignity respect and minimal administrative burden on loved ones. Next Steps: Follow up with the veteran in 30 days to confirm VSO coordination is complete and assist other veterans seeking similar preparation support.
