Description
Held a round table discussion with China Lake Naval Warfare Stations base leadership comprised of Admiral Keith Hash Jeremy Vaughn(Retired Cpt) and Commander PJ Martin (base clinic); also in attendance was Ships Captain Regina Troglin District Commander Michael Croy District Sr Vice Randy Brenneman Department Commander Deb Johnson Ship Auxiliary President Norma Gard District Auxiliary President Jamie Maxwell and Department Auxiliary President Sharonda. During the discussion health care and mental health availability was discussed. Mainly the lack of resources to support not just active service members but the thousands of veterans employed on the base. Ideas were pitched for interim programs and potential options for state and federal advocacy. Also discussed was how the VFW can support the base and its activities as well as the many programs that the VFW has to offer. Overall it was a great event and we look forward to continued dialogue and collaboration between Ship 4084 and China Lake Naval Warfare Stations base.
