Description |
VFW Post 1924 prepared and served 320 free meals on Thanksgiving to veterans and the local community. The volunteers delivered 172 of the meals to house bound community members while the remaining 148 meals were served in our dining hall.
The (5) VFW members prepared 260 lbs. of turkey 12 hams 440 lbs. of sides 20 lbs. of cookies and 10 pies.
There were (23) volunteers (including the Auxiliary Boy Scouts Rainbow Girls and other community members) that volunteered for 5 hours to help serve box and bag meals for delivery and help clean.
