Description
Active duty Naval serviceman stationed in Norfolk VA came home to Hanford CA to make funernal arrangements for his father. He wanted to process a Reassignment for Humanitarian Reasons form (HUMS). He had to draft a letter to his Commanding Officer and Command to request and explain the hardship for the HUMS reassignment. We went through his situation with his family with financial and responsibilities that he would now have to provide in place of his fathers contributions to maintain his families living situation for the future. We went through the MILPERSMAN 1300-500 requirements and resources needed to process his request. He returned back to his Command in Norfolk Va and had the information needed to understand the process that his command would have to provide to complete his request.
