Description |
A Vietnam Veteran friend of mine called me today to let me know that he just got home from an eight day stay at the Mather VA Hospital for congestive heart failure. He was at home when his daughter and son-in-law noticed his ankles and feet were severely swollen. They took him to the VA Emergency Room and they immediately admitted him for congestive heart failure. Forty=seven pounds of water was eventually removed from him body and a new CPAP was provided to him. He was released from the hospital and is under bed rest for the next 10 day. Home health care is being provided twice a week and his daughter and son-in-law are taking care of him. I will be looking into DIC for the family. The reason he called me was that he knows I am a volunteer VFW Service Officer and he wanted to let me know how well VA is taking care of him. |
