Description
District 16 members volunteered to work as Event Staff for the Sonoma Raceway NASCAR races. Volunteers assisted with crowd control protecting vender resources during hours the raceway operations was closed to guests and vendors and acted as security observers in RV parking areas after hours. Our attendance during this 3 day event help to promote VFW community involvement resulted in new membership applications and gave us the opportunity to work side by side with Travis Air Force Base volunteer workers.
